Hello, we're Shawn and Tierney
We run The Fountain Inn in Plumpton Green. Whether you're joining us for a quiet drink, Sunday lunch with family, or stopping by after a walk across the Downs, we want you to feel at home here.
It's a place to slow down, enjoy good food and drink, and feel part of something familiar. We've kept it simple: a warm welcome, thoughtful service, and a setting that's relaxed but well looked after.
Set at the foot of the South Downs, at the heart of the village.

Our £10 lunch menu runs at midday, followed by £10 Pie Night in the evening. Choose from:

Our menu focuses on seasonal, freshly prepared dishes alongside the pub favourites. Fresh fish and rotating specials, a well-stocked bar with local ales, lagers, wines and spirits, and we're happy to cater to dietary needs where we can. If you're unsure, just ask.

All served with seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and red wine jus. Always a highlight, and worth booking.

Bookings are confirmed by phone or email, and we reserve the right to release unconfirmed bookings. A deposit may be required for large groups or special events. Please let us know as soon as possible about any cancellations or changes.

Although every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any dish is 100% allergen-free due to shared preparation areas. A full allergen list is available on request.

Plumpton station is on Station Road, a few minutes' walk away, and Plumpton Racecourse is a short stroll in the other direction. There is parking at the front, and outdoor seating on the terrace when the weather behaves.
